An NHS anaesthetist with 30 years experience has given up the hospital for the hair salon.

Dr Roger Tackley, 56, now owns a salon in Devon specialising in futuristic hair styles.

He was so fed up with NHS red tape that – after a chance meeting with celebrity stylist Trevor Sorbie – he took the plunge and switched jobs.
