A law graduate-turned-journalist has taken over as the new editor of the Pembrokeshire-based
Western Telegraph.
Holly Robinson, 34, steps up from the role of deputy editor of the Bucks Free Press.
She replaces Fiona Phillips who moved to become editor of the Hereford Times last month after eight years in the Telegraph editor's chair.
Holly, who started her new job yesterday, will also take over the editor’s role on sister title the Milford Mercury
After reading law at London University, Holly joined the Wiltshire Times in Trowbridge as a trainee reporter and has worked for various Newsquest-owned titles ever since.
She later spent four years as editor of the Bridport and Lyme Regis News in Dorset, before joining the Bucks Free Press series in High Wycombe as deputy editor.
Said Holly: "I am really looking forward to working with everyone here and getting to the heart of the issues that matter to readers in Pembrokeshire.
"I hope to build on the good work that Fiona Phillips and her team have done so far and ensure the Western Telegraph continues to serve the community here, as it has for the last 156 years."
Fiona added: "I have had a long and happy association with the Western Telegraph and Milford Mercury and the past eight years while I have been editor have been the best.
"I have made new contacts and friends and seen the paper go from strength to strength.
"I will miss everyone that I have worked with, especially my current team — which is simply fantastic, but I know I am leaving the paper in the safe hands of new incumbent Holly Robinson.
"I hope her tenure in the editor's chair is as fulfilling as mine has been."
