holdthefrontpage was launched in 2000 by Northcliffe Electronic Publishing.

The Newsquest publishing group acquired a 50 per cent stake at the start of 2001. Trinity Mirror came on board in 2002 and Johnston Press joined the partnership in 2004. The site is now equally owned by these four powerful regional newspaper publishers.

We are editorially independent and all-inclusive, writing about the smallest free weeklies and the biggest regional dailies.

The site is run and managed by acting publisher Paul Linford (left) with reporter Tamlyn Jones (right) who work from our Derby HQ. They source, write and upload all the news content and maintain, monitor and update all the site's other features and databases.
